Felix Escobar

PARTNER - COO

Felix came to the US and moved to the New Jersey region as a very young adult. He learned quickly that he would have to establish himself not only as a hard worker, but as a figure in his community. Being the top salesperson for Blue Mountain over the last decades, Felix drives our company while creating a genuine approach to our client’s landscaping goals. While he has seen success in his 25 years within the landscaping industry he continues to expand his education by pursuing construction certifications at Rutgers University. Felix believes in taking the calculated, educated risk, being hands on with any and every project. He resides with his wife and three children in North Plainfield and enjoys playing and watching his kids play soccer.

Jeffrey Escobar

PARTNER - CAO

Jeff is a central New Jersey native, however he attended high school and college in Northern Virginia eventually finding his way back to NJ. Jeff has worked at Blue Mountain since he was a teenager and knows the operations like no other. He became a partner for Blue Mountain and his first hand knowledge of the industry together with his college education has allowed him to grow and improve our customer service. He brings fresh, innovative ideas to the table, often serving as a great perspective on company operations and goals. Jeff completed 3D design software training and certification, in addition to having completed a ICPI certification and other certifications at Rutgers University. Jeff attended Virginia Commonwealth University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education and Exercise Science.

Rudy Escobar

LEAD FIELD SUPERVISOR

Rudy grew up in NJ and as a level-headed, hard working, and devoted member of Blue Mountain, Rudy extends these values beyond just his work. As a father of four, he strives to instill in his children what has allowed him the success with his business. Rudy started as Blue Mountain’s first operations manager, creating genuine connections with his clients in the region. As an entrepreneur, Rudy has helped not just build Blue Mountain, but several family ventures as well including grocery stores, rental properties and investments in real estate. Constantly looking to develop his professional skills and abilities, Rudy has taken multiple certification programs at Rutgers for construction and irrigation services, adding a great value to Blue Mountain.

Bryan Cifuentes

3D DESIGN SPECIALIST

Bryan has been at Blue Mountain for 7 years right out of high school. He grew up in Piscataway and enjoys playing soccer. Proficient in the most recent industry technology, he brings a fresh perspective and new skillset to the company. Operating our drone video and camera for Blue Mountain, he gathers key insight and perspective on how to build your project in our 3D design software. Working alongside Jeff, the two aim to integrate 3D design to the most intricate facets of your landscaping project. He is a recent graduate from Rutgers University in software development, where he learned how to develop front and back end office coding to help design websites. Bryan continues to develop while helping with the daily operations and 3D design of Blue Mountain.

Meredith Hanko

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Meredith is a Bridgewater native and is currently a senior at Rutgers University. She plans to major in IT with a focus on information security and data visualization. Additionally, Meredith is involved with on-campus initiatives such as PRSSA and a tutoring program for a tech organization management course at Rutgers University. With PRSSA she participates in annual blood drives in partnership with RWJ hospital. After graduating in May 2023, Meredith plans to continue her education in data science by enrolling in additional Rutgers certification courses. She enjoys cooking, reading, and watching movies and TV in her free time. Specializing in customer service and satisfaction here at Blue Mountain, Meredith helps maintain the company’s online image while being a friendly and helpful part of customer communications.

Gabe Shertz

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

After growing up in Maryland, Gabe found his way to Temple University in Philadelphia. There he spent his undergraduate years studying communications receiving his B.A in Public Relations. Starting with Blue Mountain in 2021, Gabe heads up marketing and communication initiatives while expanding the capabilities of the department. He hopes to expand the reach of our company online and create an increased dialogue with our customers. As a strong communicator, Gabe is an asset to both our company’s growth and to our clients in creating a genuine, seamless experience for everyone.

Austin Martin

LAWN CARE TECHNICIAN

Originally from Northumberland, VA, Austin spent his time in high school preparing for a tenure with The Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer. Serving gave him the opportunity to follow a passion for problem-solving and creative innovation within the armed forces. He spent six years honing his expertise and professional development undertaking projects like constructing bridges, clearing barriers, and detecting environmental hazards.Having learned about the landscaping industry from his father, Austin undertook a career as a lawn care technician at a local landscaping company. Here he expanded his skills and abilities as a technician, receiving updated certifications and training leading to a position with Blue Mountain. Here he brings a valuable service heading up our fertilizer services.

Juan Rivero

HEAD OF GROUND CREW OPERATIONS

Juan, originally from Mexico City, Mexico, started his career in landscaping early in his life. Quickly becoming proficient in a number of vocational skills, Juan focused his professional development in irrigation and electrical services. Juan continues to build his skills taking irrigation courses and certification programs to master his craft. As a manager he leads crews to efficiently complete the projects on time and on budget. Juan serves as Blue Mountain’s Head of Crew Operations and is a very familiar face for our clients. He resides with his family in Bound Brook NJ.

LAURA SUTTON

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Laura is a New Jersey Native and is currently studying business at RVCC and planning to continue to a 4-year school. She previously worked at her friend’s landscaping company doing house cleanouts, demolitions, mulching, etc. She enjoys fishing, spending time with family and friends, and four-wheeling in her free time. Specializing in customer service and satisfaction here at Blue Mountain, Laura helps maintain the company’s online image while being a friendly and helpful part of customer communications.
